OLE - OS MAIORES CRAQUES DO MUNDO

bonecosOle

With the nation of Brazil gripped by World Cup fever, SoccerStarz capitalised on this by releasing a blind bag series in brazil, in conjuction with Brazilian publication Olé.

The figures were packed inside blind bags and supplied with Olé magazine. In total there are 15 figures in the series, with all figures being on a Green base. As this series was released exclusively in Brazil, it feautres a heavily with latin America players.

Barcelona have 5 figures included, which are Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Alexis Sanchez all in 2012/13 kit, with Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr in Barvelona 2013/14 kit, the version of Neymar is the original sculpt, with his mohawk hair style.

Real Madrid had a solitary figure included in the range, which was Cristiano Ronaldo in 2013/14 kit. Paris Saint-Germain had 2, Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura, in 2013/14, both obvious choices.

Chelsea' Oscar  was in 2013/14 kit, while Queens Park Rangers keper Julio Cesar was of course in 2012/13 kit. Manchester City had Sergio Aguero in 2012/13 kit, along with David Silva in 2013/14 kit. Liverpool also had 2,Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva on 2013/14 kit, accompanied by Steven Gerrard who was in 2012/13 kit.

Completing the range is perhaps the most perplexing inclusion, which was German defener Per Mertesacker, in Arsenal 2013/14 kit. Mertascker did seem an odd inclusion for a Brazil release, i can only assume this was something Soccerstarz themselves suggested, possibly to reduce their own stock levels of the figure.

The reason why some figures are in 2012/13 kit and some in 2013/14 kit will most likely be down to the stock levels SoccerStarz held of the figure, basically just using surplus stock up.

A well received range in Brazil but not something which attracted world wide collectors, as there was nothing exclusive to collect, except the blind bag the figures came in. Time would tell if this series would be repeated.
